BLOCK 2: Writing for Wellbeing for the Community
A 'block' of four monthly, themed workshops open to all those who would like to explore expressing themselves creatively and reflectively through writing. (Please note these sessions are currently only available to those 18 years of age and over).
Group size may vary from of 3-6 participants,depending on the number of registrations per workshop.
COST OF EACH TWO HOUR WORKSHOP:
£30 full price
£20 concessions for students/unwaged/retired
Across the four sessions, we will use different types of 'prompts' for your writing, to explore a range of creative writing techniques, poetic techniques, stories, journalling and other creative non-fiction such as memoir.
NEW DATES AND THEMES TO FOLLOW but workshops will now be two hours long, monthly on Sundays 3-5pm following valuable feedback from previous participants.

You do not have attended any of my previous workshops to attend,and no specialist or prior experience of creative writing needed, just an openness and willingness to give writing a go!
NEW BEGINNINGS:NATURE AS INSPIRATION
It's Spring,new beginnings in Nature,and we hope, for us too.
In this workshop,you will have an opportunity to explore what new beginnings means to you.
Using prompts including poetry, fiction and nature writing, as well as materials from the natural world that you are invited to bring to the session if you wish,we will explore the power of Nature to inspire us creatively and enhance our wellbeing.

EKPHRASTIC WRITING:ART AS INSPIRATION
Using art as a stimulus to writing has been long used in poetry and fiction,and can be a fun way to get the imagination stimulated.
In this session,we will use a combination of images from online sources,as well as any other objects of art which you may have at home,to inspire today's writing.

CONNECTING AS A COMMUNITY
Using a mix of reflective, creative,expressive writing and poetry therapy techniques,we will explore through writing prompts and discussion, what community means to us.
No prior experience of creative writing needed just an openness and willingness to give it a go!

THE FUTURE:ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!
What are your hopes for the future? Your own future and that of society and the world?
In this final session in this block of four themed workshops,we will explore different ways writing can help us both beginnings and endings of situations and relationships,including with aspects of ourselves,as well as with others.
